Something to keep in mind when you are at the boat ramp. The FWC told us that they had worked a call recently where a F-250 truck was putting its boat in at the ramp. The driver put the parking brake on and got out of the truck. Something broke and the truck/trailer ended up rolling into water & was completely submerged very quickly.
It got me thinking, what if there were people, especially kids in the truck. I can't tell you how many times we personally have kept the kids buckled in their car seats at the boat ramp until after the boat was off the trailer.
Just my opinion, but get everyone out of the vehicle before you back down that ramp. Better to be safe than sorry. FWC says this happens more than you would know.
